Now im not to sure about SATA DVD Drives, i was planning to get a ASUS Lightscribe writer and a Sony DVD Rewriter, but just remember that the P5B-Deluxe only has one IDE connector. Are the IDE cables that come with the bored do they have like a double connector on them?

OR

Im getting the ASUS writer, should i change the SONY one for a Samsung SATA DVD-Rewriter, what does everyone thing?

haven't heard much about SATA DVD-rewriter's?

i thought there were only SATA hard drives? anyway, i'm using the asrock conroe 945G (it's crap i know but i've got a ds3 but can't use til i get a gfx card)

anyway, i've only the one IDE controller, i manage with a PCI card which has 2 IDE ports on it, that can run 4 devices and hard drives on raid, mine was 12 quid, so u could try that.

Yes they do have a double connector supplied with the IDE cable so you can use two IDE devices with the supplied cable.
I've used loads of Samsung SATA DVD-RW's in builds the last few months and they work as they should.
I like the idea of a non IDE based PC so I'll use a SATA DVD-RW in my next PC.
