I've been running my raptors in raid0 on the sata2 controller since I got the board, I've now bought a sata2 drive and I want to use it on my sata2 controller, so I thought it would be a great idea to move the raptors to the sata1 controller and create a new array from on the sata1 controller. This would be fine accept the sli3112 controller doesn't detect the drives :S

Does anyone know why that might happen? The controllers are enabled, and they're all set to raid, I'm most confused about it. I'm using the original bios as I can't get any of the new bios to work correctly. I'm not running my machine overclocked in any way.

The same happens to me, I have to keep the system power'd up for about 3 - 5 mins then reboot and they are detected.

ive just tryed to set up a RAID zero with my two raptors and i cant do it at all i have the same board as you aswell i enter the raid utility select creat raid then select stripe and the system just locks up iv tryed the drives on differant ports aswell and still no luck i dont evan have a choice to use raid on my sata two ports *cry*

sorry about the no punction etc sticky keys has just broke my keyboard

Cool yours does it better than mine then, I delete the raid set, then move them to the different controller, and it the controller doesn't even see it has a drive attached. Anyway i've just bought an abit AT8 32x so hopefully that should work correctly. I'm brassed off with my sapphire board it has a boat load of issues and i don't have the time for tinkering with it.
