SATA Maxtor HD showing as removable device?

Hi guys, I'm on a fresh install of XP here (not SP2) and my new Maxtor HD is showing up as a removable device? whats that all about? its an internal drive. Is this correct or have I done something wrong?

Nothing wrong, both my non RAID drives are the same. It's down to SATA being hot swappable in the right circumstances.

The same here, my SATA RAID array has always shown up as removable for the same reason I expect.
