I have an EVGA G2 750W... I plan on running x2 SSD's off molex to sata cables (they're white ones I've bought separately), so I was just wondering if it matters how that comes off the PSU? I was going to simply have them off x2 molexes which are coming off a cable plugged in to the 'PERIF1' connection... is that OK? No reason that they MUST come off the labelled 'SATA' connection is there?

You will be fine with that setup.
I have the 850W G2 and that connection is labelled as such as most hard drives use SATA power now while it is only things like pumps, fan controllers, lighting etc that still use molex connectors.
It will still provide the right volts needed to power the drives.
