SataII Speed upgrade?

Sup fellas, rocking an old school board with a single SataII port:

Recently got a 60GB vertex 2 and the performance is rubbish

Would I be able to get an add on card that I can boot from to get the best out of the SSD?

You could look into a pci express sata2 or 3 exansion card.

Probably wont fit next to your graphics card though.

However it seems like you are flogging a dead horse there as I think other areas of your system may be the cause of the bottleneck.

As said above you'll really need a PCI express add on card as a PCI card will restrict the bandwidth. That boards got some weird slots on it by the way?

PCI express, PCI, AGP, Upgrade slot (S939 to AM2 board).
