Was photographing a gig last night in Camden (the band is called Satan's Minions... ironically), here are some of the best shots, C&C please! First time I've shot a gig - was just doing a favour for someone.

Thanks, yeh I'm not a fan of gig photography myself. Nearly all shots just look the same. I'll have a play with the crop on #5, see how it pans out. The lighting in the place was utterly abysmal, even at 3200iso on the 5d2 the shots were too slow so I ended up using my flash, hence the white light. The lighting consisted of 2 colour changing halogen lights pointed at random spots on the stage. I think i'll make the last shot b&w too as the colour really doesn't add to it.

It looks as though you are the only guy in the room, that's the main concern/feeling. Shots of the crowd (wide shot), black and white doesn't give much atmosphere either.

I practically was, I think by the time the band were on there were maybe 8 people left in the pub not including the staff, most of whom were standing against a wall. I was just trying to make the best of a bad lot really lol!

Just got some feedback from the band saying how much they loved them. Apparently they spent the first half hour of practice talking about them last night!
