Satellite Pro L870-18R. Windows key

Hi Guys, wonder if I have to bit the bullet and go and buy windows 8 even though the lappy came with it installed.
I wiped it and installed windows 7, but now having a nightmare with the wireless card and bluetooth so considering going back to windows 8 even though I hate it.
Problem is I cannot see a windows key anywhere on the laptop or paper work that came with it?
What can I do? :confused:

Hard drive was wiped clean and the recovery partition was removed. Gah.

Hmm prehaps the key is in the bios? is this possible?

Unless it's hiding under the battery then you're probably stuffed as it would have been held in the recovery partition.

I have read if it is stored in the bios as most modern windows 8 laptops seem to have, I can get the key with a utility called Rweverything.
Fingers crossed till I get home later.
But then I will need to download a legit windows 8 iso from somewhere?.

That's a good point actually, I've only recently switched to 8 so I'm not up on the UEFI BIOS stuff.
Yep you'll have to download a copy, it's easy to get hold of 7 because digital river still have all their ISOs up but I'm not sure if there's anywhere legit to get an 8 ISO failing that you could get it from a torrent site as it's the key that makes it legit.

The Key was in the bios,but getting a version of windows 8 that was activated was a pain via the bios key.
I had to go and look for it, but now sorted.
The blue tooth built in will still not work, even though it is shown as a hidden device.
Anyhow job done.
