can i steam fish/meat

i have some asparagus and some large salmon pieces what order shall i cook them and for how long

i take it i fill saucepan up to 3/4 full with boiling water from the kettle

many thanks in advance :)

Until it's cooked. You can steam anything you like. All depends what it is and how big the pieces are. Asparagus won't take long a few mins only. Do not over cook asparagus as it goes horrible, it's meant to still have a slight crunch to it.
Remember to salt what it is your cooking rather than the water.

I steam veg quite a lot, i do it for about 25 mins for brocolli and carotts, i dont like hard veg. Rice is easy 200grams of rice and 300ml of water for 30 mins to 35 and feeds 2 substantially. I never do meat in it, and never eat fish. Its good for corn on the cobs aswell. If you do fish put it on the lower tier, it doesnt take long and drips fish juices so dont do it top tier as your veg will tase of fish.

i just did 3 large filets of salmon in the lower tier and that took 10 mins i chucked the asparagus in the top for 4 mins at the end

spot on and healthy as **** compared to what i usually eat

highly recomended
