check it out, amazing game tbh.. kinda like wow but switchable to 1st person, pretty weird but immense at the same time!

if you download the demo, you get 5 hours free (enough to get you hooked ;)) of the entire game, after that you must purchase the full thing.

Well, yeah... the stats arent too amazing since the game was only released about a week ago and isnt too well known yet :P

oh and the stats are locked at the moment for an update :P much more online
 
Yes savage 2 is a great game indeed.

Don't let the player base put you off this game as it is brand new at the moment and not many people know about it.

There is a bit of a learning curve but once you get into it you will love it :D
 
I played Savage which was an RTS-FPS which worked okay although the game engine wasn't great, I am assuming this is the new version of it.
 
Is it anything like savage in terms of gameplay?

I remember pre-ordering savage as it had a linux client :) was pretty fun for a while, but I got bored of it.

Also seemed to be pretty open to scripting stuff like auto-potion etc :(
 
simlar to savage in gameplay, not that much different imo.. maybe a bit better :)

now most things are stored server side so not very easy to script stuff unless your into gamehacking or packet editing!

Sounds like it might be ok.

Back when I played savage tho you could play online in developer mode, so you could have nograss, bright shadows and a whole lot of other stuff.

The scripting was easy enough. No hacking or custom files involved. Just done thru the console and config files, just like on quake I guess only it could make the game 10x easier.
 
I was in the pre-beta for this and was an avid Savage 1 player. To be honest, unless it's improved greatly, don't bother and instead just download/play Savage 1 with the SFE mod. Free and far far better than S2 :)

Prepare to get owned by the people that have played it for years tho, and be sure to learn how to use block/leap effectively as a priority.
