This patch was included in the last scheduled windows updates. Just run the disk clean-up tool and select the windows update stuff to be cleaned. (scroll to the bottom of the list after opening cleanmgr.exe)

Tried running it and got this message about the Windows Genuine Advantage Validation, any way of getting it too work.

Thanks, that worked with IE11 preview, but not with Firefox 24. It did say I already have it installed, but I could not see it in Disc clean up.

I'm getting the same problem with I.E. or Firefox :/

Edit, sorted it via Windows update, done the update, gained sod all, guess I've already deleted them previously ~ Win 7 install way over a year old, was expecting a nice bonus!

If you run disk clean-up and select "Clean up system files" it can sometimes take quite some time to do its thing for some reason!

Only recovered ~300mb on our recently installed deployment image.

I presume this removes older versions of duplicate files from superseded updates, so if you don't have many superseded updates installed, there aren't that many files to remove.

Really need to stop by the disk clean up utility more often:

Including 4.89GB for windows updates, I've just gained back 16GB of disk space

Even had 7.12 GB of "temp files".

Chopped a good 660mb off my 3 months old Win 8 laptop (I was suprised that much was made obsolete already). Now the install is only taking under 20gb :eek:

Will give it a run on my desktop when I visit my parents, god knows how much 3 years worth of updates is taking up...
