Save Location on NFS:Carbon?

Before I reimaged my PC, i took the save folder from the "my documents" locations for the NFS:Carbon save slots.

Just moved it back in my My documents and its unable to locate my saved game and all my settings are back on default. Any idea why? Or what I've missed when copying the saved game folder?

Found out i need to run a 'patch' to validate the saved game. My career is there but not the saved settings of controls/video and etc.

You could just start the game with the same name as before, and then after it has saved a bit of it, copy your originals back?
