Save the Nurburgring

Doesn't surprise me, was there last year in the summer when they were doing the finishing touches to the place. Seemed incredibly OTT for a place in the middle of nowhere which only really got busy a few times a year.

Did have to laugh at a comment I read elsewhere, not exactly politically correct though:

Charity starts at home, let's get Donington sorted again.... :)

If the Krauts can foot the bill for baling out the Greeks, the spic's and the paddies, I'm sure they can spare a few Euros for the ring.... :p

Just let them go under. If the track is viable on its own, someone will buy it and it will be back.

I thought it was a public road...

I really enjoyed my trip to the ring this year but the Ring Werk and Ring Boulevard(?), didn't really add much. It probably didn't help that it was like the Mary Celeste in there.
