I came across this, and as the type of person who reinstalls Windows fairly often... I thought I'd share it with you lot too. It doesn't seem to be a particularly well known bit of software or I would not mention it. The word SaveGameBackup hasn't been mentioned on these forums before.

It's a very quick script/GUI type program which backups save game files. I'm not going to promise it's foolproof or anything. I've not come across any problems personally.

I actually came across an advert for pay software that did this, and it was when I later decided to find it and buy it that I came across this instead.

Would not trust this app to backup all my saves as it lists games which its not even possible to backup saves on like: Gears of War & Halo2 (both use online saving as well as anti cheat tools to prevent save backups) plus many other GFWL titles which do not support save backups as they use encrypted savegames to prevent tampering/cheating.

I'm fairly sure I've backed up Halo 2 save games. :confused:

I know you can't transfer them across GFWL accounts, but I'm sure you can back them up and restore them.

Yeah, I've never come across a game that copy/pasta didn't work with.

Then again, I think GTA4 is the only Live game that I own

You can clearly see what it's doing. It isn't an overly sophisticated program, and it creates zip files so you could see what it had done.

If anything it just automates what you would do yourself. If you're paranoid just check what it does afterwards to make sure.
