Saving flash vids

Ok so anyone got any idea how to save the flash vids on certain sites? I know there are programs/extensions which let you save vids from google, youtube and the like but what about less popular sites? Anyone know of any general apps or tips that will allow me do this?

I used to do it by looking through the page's source code for the magical link, and then popping the link into a downloader.

It's a bit of a "kludge" though.

How about http://unplug.mozdev.org/? Seems to be OK to work with all kinds of media/media sites so shouldn't be limited to Youtube et al.

Thanks dude...that kinda did it...Well it allowed me to get to the URL and then find the proper link to download....

No probs. I had VideoDownloader before but it sometimes didn't work which counted against it. Also Unplug finds all the media on the page so it helps you find other things there.

the problem is finding the url of the video mate.

If you can get the URL of the video with the unplug extension, vixy.net should be able to convert the flv for you

Fixed. And just download VLC. Plays .flv no problems.
