I am saving for a first car , i am 24 in november so not really worried to much about insurance. I am looking at a saxo vtr and was wondering if anyone had suggetions for other cars

You're not worried about insurance because you're 24? Thats irrelevant.

It will still be expensive because you're still classed as a young driver, who will have just passed his test and has 0 no claims, and you'll be trying to insure a Saxo VTR. A typical boy racer car.

but being 24 will mean his policy will be way less than if he was 17

I thought, in this situation, that insurance would be quite reasonable

im sure you could get insured on the vtr but im guessing it will be relatively expensive, what about a xsara vtr? same engines in the various models, cheaper to buy and will be less to insure as they are less desirable to steal. ye they're not the best lookers but if you can sacrifice that then you will be quids in.

Yea at 24 you shouldn't really have a problem. It will still be expensive but not silly like if you were 17/18. Would guess around £800

Have you tried a saxo vtr. Not the most spacious of cars but if your 5'11" and under you should fit.

Pedals are close together too but overall a good fun car if the image is a little off for anyone over the age of 18.

Have you thought about a focus or something bigger.

no not thought of a focus, the insurance quote i got for a vtr was £ 900 which i thought was very reasonable. thanks for your help and i will look at a focus and see what the quote would be. ;)

The 2.0 zetec is the same insurance as the vtr or possily lower. A 1.8 or 2.0 focus would be a much nicer car to have.
