Watched this last night on my PJ and it looked really good. Considering it is 8 years old now, the quality of the picture was stunning. It was filmed to be dirty and grainy looking and it showed up everything on my screen. Every little spec of dirt as explosions lifted them into the air was visible. Very good indeed.

I had it running via RGB scart from my DVD player then converted to VGa then into my PJ with the help of a VGA to DVI adapter. I never noticed any loss of quality at all.

If I can I shall upload some pictures later of the film in action. Ill just replay it and skip to some action scenes where all the detail stands out.

Upload some pictures dude, would be appreciated. Sounds really great.

I'm about to get a projector, but just can't decided between the PannyAE900 and the Infocus IN72

I have that film in 1080p, shame my PC struggles to play it, should poo all over the DVD version.

Sorry people I tried to get some pictures taken but they always end up being blurry with out using the flash.. I have a kodak digital camera..If I use the flash the screen is washed out . I have no access to a tripod so cant have a steady picture.. I will get some uploaded soon. Promise

Not wanting to hi-jack this thread, but what are you using to play the HD DVD with, I looked on the bay for HD DVDs but they are all region 1, something that the DVD-ROM in my PC isn’t, can you get HD DVD players in the UK yet?

how did you get that ? didn't know you can get whole films in HD, or can't you say ?

a dark place where lots of HD films hang out.

No you can't, not sure what your post is about, no one mentioned watching an HD DVD.

Plenty of stuff around to multi-region your DVD drive though that's not going to help with HD DVD's of course which are a totally different format using different lasers and what not.

I just demo'd a PannyAE900 last night, looked awsome!! I think I'll be getting it!

Saying that though, I can only compare to an Infocus IN72 and 76, the 72 having a really low resolution, and the 76 being £600 more.

I didnt demo any projector at all. I just went on gut feeling from all the info I gathered from AVforums.. I can say with all my heart that it was the best decsion I have made.. There are plenty of people who have demoed the panny along with the HD72i and say they are about egual, with the HD72i pipping it at the line so to speak.

I am very very happy with my HD72i not found a fault with it yet. The only thing I have seen is the football coverage on ITV is rubbish with lots of pixalation around the players at all time whereas the BBC there is very very little and the general PQ on the BBC is superb for the worldcup.

I also got my PJ, screen and mount from discounttv. £1500 worth every penny. ordered it on a wednesday and it arrived on the friday.

If you want any more info let me know on here or email intrust
