I need to save this year

I want to go on holiday in July.. that will cost £700

I want to go on holiday in December.. that will cost £2000

I need money weekly for my car.. petrol / mods

I owe my brother £500 and the bank £500

and I have a £40 phone bill each month.

Plus money weekly for general stuff.. fast food.. drinks (£30)


How much do I need to be earning a week / saving a week?

Add up all your total yearly costs, divide by 52. Thats how much you need to save per week. Its roughly £100 looking at those numbers.

I think you will need to save £1.84 a day, except for every other Wednesday, on which you'll need to save £4352.32.

These are only approximate figures though ..


(in other words -- it's pretty simple maths mate .. just excel it you could do it in 5 minutes)

Saying that, a week trip to Zante ended up costing me over £1200.

The total of all that comes to about 5.5k. So call it around 6k a year with NI contributions. But tbh once you start earning your spending will go up drastically.

The other is a 2 week Caribbean cruise
