Saw a thread on OCUK with Conroe FSB tables?

Advantage to a 1:1 setting? Considering I am using a 680i and can unlink the ram.

None. You ideally want to run the RAM as fast as possible. The big benefit is for Intel P965 owners that can't run slower than 1:2 so they need to know what RAM to buy to get them to their chosen overclocked Nirvana.

Aaah... better off buying a better mobo like the 680i then, considering all its other advantages.

Or save yourself another £100 and get a 650i board ;)

Or get a P5B Deluxe and some uber ram and all will be good? :p

Probably cheaper to get a 650i or better yet a 680i.

680i > 650i due to having 3 PCI-E slots (2x 16xPCI-E slots) , more sata ports...etc

Yes, well they have to throw in something to justify the extra £100, don't they? The two feature sets are largely identical apart from the southbridge, which is neutered on the 650i to only allow 2 x 8x PCIe slots in SLi and it lacks a couple of SATA ports. But oddly, it does have an extra pair of PATA channels, which for most users, is actually far more useful.
