For any Rush fans out there, I saw them at the Charlotte Verizon Ampitheatre in Carolina on the 18th June. Great venue (sort of a covered outdoor arena), & great show.

They played virtually the entire new album, some of the classics & a few surprises as well. Neil's got a new kit, Geddy actually got the old Rickenbacker out & some really funny back video.

The American audience was a bit of a pain in the arse though - whooping & howling through some of the songs!

How long was the gig, are they still going for nearly 3 hours, like the R30 tour?

Can't wait till October and the two Wembley Arena gigs, plus the Snakes and Arrows MVI release, whenever that is.

Minor hijack

Heard a few bits of Rush through playing games and I rather like - any recommendation on albums to start with? :D

You could just get their greatest hits, or one of their live albums, the R30 tour is their latest.

Hi Kev

The gig was about two & a half hours (including the interval). As this was really an album tour, there were a lot fewer of the oldies played - but

*** POSSIBLE SPOILER ***

they did play 'Passage to Bangkok', which went down really well (and was accompanied by a strange smell coming from some 'cigarettes' around me!! ;)). Neil's solo seemed shorter than the R30 tour. :(

Anyways - it was great to see them again, and I'm also looking forward to Wembley.
