Saw: The Game

Now I love the Saw films, yes all of them, but I don't quite know what to make of this.

It has the potential to be epic as its from Konami and they created Silent Hill, so therefore they have a solid blueprint for creating quality survival horror games but I just don't know. it could also be a massive fail.

I've only seen most of Saw II, there were about 5-10 people in a house with traps etc.

First one was just in a bathroom was it not?

Bit of a boring game tbh.

It apparently doesn't follow the same story as the films. If there is a decent story and there are proper puzzles (like Silent Hill but potentially gory ones) and traps to get through it could be good. I somehow doubt it because most movie tie-ins are awful as everyone knows.

Dragging my own thread up here but I have been playing this game....

It's actually not bad at all. The story is decent and set between Saw 1 and 2. The puzzles are simple but fun, the traps are straight from the films, some pretty gory too.

Apparently the game is quite short but I played it yesterday for about 5 or 6 hours and as far as I can tell I'm about half way through.

The combat is basic but intentionally difficult which some won't like, but I feel it adds to the tension of the game.

Overall I would say this game is not worth £40 as it is a bit of a Silent Hill rip-off but it is decent in its own right and well worth a rent if nothing else for the easy achievements, and they are very easy.

The story is alright convulted, so they can't really balls that up.

Not suprised it got pap reviews though.

Juast an update to this. Finished it in 2 sessions, probably took me 10 or so hours and it's not a bad game to be honest. Far from brilliant but definitely not crap. Easy 1000 points
