Ok AMD owners just a heads up and be quick about it! Just noticed an AMD Phenom Quad Core 9600+ OEM in the Clearance section for £139! I'm assuming this is a decent price plus I think its wrong since the 9500+ in clearance is more expensive....someone should buy one and see how it does

the black edition is released and there are price cuts on the phenoms today, its better to wait and get an unlocked one tbh

Was watching that Phenom for a few days, considered it but there really is no point. The Black Editions will be so much easier to get an overclock out of and there isn't going to be too much of a price difference. Still, someone bought it...
The 9500 was added yesterday and in typical clearance fashion, made the prices all seem odd. It's good to see an OEM product in clearance selling for the same price as a retail product... *cough*

That's 2 7800 chips on one card, think that was the original retail price for them.

Not really, plenty of reviews/users out there and £140 for a quad seemed alright to me. Doesn't have to be jumping ship, would have been a reasonable purchase for an AM2 user.
