Saxos Crumple Easily

Are Saxos made of tissue or something? Christ knows what would happen if one was involved in a high speed accident on the motorway or something.
No, they are made of brie and superglue. :p

They do crumple easy though, that was a sub 20mph strike of a bollard when the PAS failed on mine!

You reversed out of your drive without watching where you were going, with the greatest respect it was a moronic thing to do, and it's entirely your own fault :(. As for the saxo in the pic below, jeez.

If the damage to your car is "just two scratches on the bumper", why are you claiming from your insurance?

You only pay the excess if you are claiming - not if someone else is. So, providing you're not going to get your insurance to repair your car - you do not need to do anything!

No, they are made of paper and fold very easily.

I get the pee ripped out of me by my mates about how unsafe my car is etc but it's because mine is faster than most of their beefed up, maxxed out ncap wagons!

It does bother me at how easy they crumple but I don't intend on crashing it just yet.

What was the damage paradigm? New bumper/ bonnet or worse underneath?

confused is correct.

as for the saxo folding in half, thats easy to answer.

its not german or jap

Saxo VTRs have a dreadful safety rating... Your probably more likely to survive by Bailing out of the window before the crash.... :S

By todays standards yes. It's a 106 at the end of the day which is nearly 15 years old.

I have seen many a saxo in an unbelieveable mess and the passengers have walked away.

I have also seen ones where some have not been so lucky.

Yet it is still a popular car, like the 106 and previously the 205.

Unfortunately you're to blame. It's very similar to what happened to me. If these ******* tossers didn't break the highway code in the first place then these accidents wouldn't occur.

IMO I think if you break the highway code and in doing so you incur an accident, then you should be punished some way or another. It's unfair to make that person pay up, but they should receive points at least. Sadly, he will escape with nothing. It's pathetic really. I think if I lose my case I will do all in my power to make sure the other party is punished for breaking several highway code regulations (in the case of my accident anyway).

In an accidnt, if it's your fault, it's your fault. However, if the "victim" of the accident broke the highway code then they should definitely be punished too. It seems fair to me, as by breaking the highway code they increased the chances of the accident occuring. God damn I might even go into car insurance law now to see this implemented :D

Oh do pipe down, he was parked on a double yellow line, it's hardly crime of the century. What if he wasn't parked but simply waiting in queued traffic lights?

I know you feel raw after nobody jumped and down and said THERE THERE after you drove into somebodies door but that doesn't mean its time to go on a pointless one man crusade.

Everything in the HC is not a specific offence. You'll make yourself look like a chump if you 'do all in my power to make sure the other party is punished for breaking several highway code regulations'. He parked with his lights on. You drove into him.

Hold on, I've slept on it and seeing as this is the first accident I've had I'm new to all this. Surely I need to claim off my insurance to pay for the damage made to his vehicle?

No, HE claims off your insurance and unless you are with an insurer like Bell, on a Flexibell policy, you pay no excess for that.

I'm with Elephant (Admiral group) if that makes any difference? I might give them another call, I've got you people on here saying that he makes the claim and then I have others around me saying that it's me who needs to make the claim!

YOU
DO
NOT
MAKE
THE
CLAIM!

All you have to do is report the accident to your insurance company.
