SB (2nd Gen i7 2700K) Question

So I have the Asus ROG Max IV E (P67) B3 Revision, but there is an Asus ROG Max IV E-Z (Z68) on the MM for a great price... Thoughts between Z68 and P67 with an i7 2700K? I'll be clocking past 4.2, hopefully around 4.5.

I know it's 'old' kit, but any thoughts/recommendations from 8 pack or anyone else welcome!

Will be using new Avexir MPower Red 1600 RAM.

The point in selling those boards is??? They are the best boards for that chip.

Ahhh, I already own the MAXIVE and I'm possibly buying the MAXIVEZ, but which should I be looking at keeping? (ie which chipset would you use for a 2700K @ 4.5)

The only difference between the two chipsets (P67 + Z68) is that Z68 includes on board graphics (which we normally don't use!).

In all honesty - your not going to get any gains at all - if anything the P67 platform is supposed to be better for overclocking.

Take it from someone who's been P67 > Z68 > Z77

I'm still waiting on CPU's and the MAXIVEZ to arrive, I have everything else I need to begin benching, fingers crossed the package I have waiting at the post office is a CPU!
