SB/IB vs 2011

And I guess those with a "K" series SB or IB make full use of the onboard GPU?

Both platforms have their oddities, but I don't believe the 2500K to be the all-singing all-dancing answer to every spec me thread that this forum seems obsessed with.

X79 can be obtained for relatively little over an 1155 setup, and it has greater expandability and just as much (if not more) future proofing.

BCLK strapping would disagree with you ;) My overclock also disagrees with you :p

well your OC is rather impressive I would have to admit :)

I'm going to find my HD4000 useful next week when I re-RMA my GTX480 SOC ! - I'll be able to carry on playing Diablo 3 whilst it goes off for repair

other than that - not much use really - other than as a backup

2500k is a damned decent chip, The 2011 socket is a bit pricey and power hungry for a small gaming build don't you think?

Also very impressive clock's there! but you are using a custom loop adding i'm gonna guess 200/250 to the top of an ordinary cheap quad core rig, Mines clocked at 4.6 with the stock fan at about 70c (H100/D14 desperately needed)

Just not worth it for some when the IGPU is perfect for a few light games and movies =),
Depends on need and budget =)
