Hi All

Has anyone done a SBS 2003 > SBS 2008 Live Migration in anger yet?!
Can the Users REALLY carry on working without noticing anything changing or any downtime? How does this work if users are accessing documents on the Source server during the migration to the new?

Doing one early next week and would like to have a heads up as to any potential issues! ;)

Cheers

Rob

I'm looking at doing a Swing Migration from SBS2003 to SBS2008 at the end of the month.

The advantage of this method over the Microsoft one is that you can do 95% of the work offline and that if a major problem occurs during the final stage you can put the original Server(s) back in until the problem is resolved.

During the final stage of a migration you do not want users to be accessing data on the Server(s).
