I have a biz customer who has a sbs2008 & exch 2007 server. Something has screwed it up & i can only login via the repair ad services option. I have a mirrored array that i have seperated so i have a safe copy at the moment & i can boot off 1 disk.

I think i will end up reinstalling the server tmrw however is it possible to try & import the exchange config, accounts etc from the other drive?

Thanks

There was a rather hit and miss tool for backing up the Server OS and Exchange via command line by Microsoft and some partner of theirs. Been a long time since I've used it. Name escapes me for the moment.

What exactly is the problem with booting up normally? Is there an error message?

It sounds like the ad db is corrupt, as a last resort you can try and use the esentutl tool on the ad db to repair it. I have had some success with this in the past.
