SBS 2011 Internet

Might be a stupid question, but does SBS 2011 need internet access to get it to a usable state?

(I realise e-mails/RWW/vpn etc won't work).

I'm about to set one up for a customer and broadbands down, could be for sometime. WIll it let me complete enough to get them going until adsl is connected?

As long as it has an active network connection, the installer will allow you to continue.

I just plugged it into a spare switch and carried on

There's an argument you don't let SBS patch it's self during the initial setup phase anyway.

It's also my understanding that you should leave the patching until after the install is complete. You're then installing from the well tested RTM codebase which is supposed to be less error prone.
