Is there a download trial for windows SBS (standard), every time i go to the link it directs me to the premium version which i dont want to download as i will never buy it and dont require the extra features and sql server software, thus dont want to download it either!

Is it not like the "normal" Server 2008 (and R2) discs, in that if you don't enter a product key, you can choose between versions?

Its a trial so i dont really know, however i dont really fancy several GB of extra download of stuff i dont want/need!

Surely you only need the one disk, which is 3.9GB, hardly modem-busting (assuming you can install standard from it).

The download when i looked 30 mins ago was 10.5gb

That is cumulative of all 4 DVD's (separate downloads). You only need Disk1 for a basic install.

Disk1 is the SBS installer.
Disk2 is the 64-bit additional server install.
Disk3 is the 32-bit additional server install.
Disk4 is the SQL disk.

Aah, cheers, i hadnt seen the bit where its split into 4, just read the top where it said 10+Gb and had a fit!
