I know there have been a couple of topics on backups recently but none of them really relate to my network.

Having realised that the company that installed our server were infact cowboys I'd like to implement a backup solution I know I can trust. Currently we are using the built in backup that comes with SBS2003 onto 2 USB removable HDDs week 1 and week 2.

5 users, 1 server, 20GD of data stored on server.

I had thought about looking for an online solution which means it takes care of its self and sends you an email if it hasnt completed or whatever. The only problem I can see with that is that we have a database file which is aprox 2GB so transferring that would probably cause problems? I believe most online backups work by only transferring the files which have changed?

Can you select certain directories to backup online? If so what would you recommend doing with the database file? And of course all the server settings etc?

Or is there a better option? The USB drives are about 6 years old now so would probably need changing anyway?

Thanks
