Pack it up folks.

Game has been cancelled

After careful deliberation, Microsoft Studios has come to the decision to end production for "Scalebound." We're working hard to deliver an amazing lineup of games to our fans this year, including "Halo Wars 2," "Crackdown 3," "State of Decay 2," "Sea of Thieves" and other great experiences. Wonder when the pre alpha builds will leak etc.

Never looked amazing anyway imo however ms again this gen failing on exclusive front imo, shame they did so well in early 360 days. Ms has made xbox a brand at this point since 95% of there so called exclusives are on pc now

Aside from being Platinum I never thought the game looked that great from what they'd shown.

Same, usual 'cool' main character really put me off, headphones on to fight seemed a bit weird

Either way its sad for the actual dev, on the face of things it just sounds like they work all that time fir ms to then decide it isnt happening, we have other games so it doesnt matter

Weird

MS are cancelling a lot of things recently.. I have an MS band 2 that broke and is in the process of being sent back so i thought I'd take a look at what the band 3 to see where that had got to in case they give me a refund. You guessed it, cancelled... Apparently they cancelled Lumia's last year too. I very much doubt they are in any sort of trouble but they seem to be getting pretty ruffless over the last year or so. I don't know how far they got with the development of these games but the Band 3 was pretty much finished!

That's disappointing.

I wasn't sold on the game, but there's a distinct lack of new exclusive franchises from the Xbox One. Instead, the same stuff is being milked over and over; Forza, Halo, Gears, Dead Rising, etc. Would have been nice to have something new...

It's certainly quite a change. Balmer just kept throwing money at failing projects. Funding now seems more proportionate to success, and failing projects are mercilessly culled. I guess Microsoft have finally woken up to the reality; throwing money at a failing project doesn't guarantee success.

Not surprised it looked absolutely gash.

I agree with that, it never looked like my sort of thing. Nobody was talking about this game till it got canned.

MS's choices on exclusives have been a little weird this time round, not really sure what they have been aiming at.

Sunset overdrive was another one, and though it played better than i thought when it appeared on GWG it never appealed to me from the marketing. Same with Recore didn't peak my interest.

This game was never even close to being on my radar or any of my friends when were were discussing the E3 trailers after it was announced.
