Hi guys

Just had an email from EA saying the the email adress linked to my EA account has changed.. The thing is the username in the email is not even mine and i have not used or logged into to EA/ORIGIN for a long time.

This is what it says.

Hi Raily2855,

On 01 May 2016 08:53:41 GMT, the primary email address linked with your EA Account was changed to:

[email protected]

If you never made this change, please change your email address back and change your password. If you need additional assistance, please contact EA Help.

Happy gaming,
The EA Team

I had a similar one apparently sent from a betting site I've never used with a user name I've never used. I'm guessing they want you to contact their "customer services" at which point they attempt to extract information from you so that they can scam you.

Pretty simple fix, just log into your account, and not through any link they provided, just go via you browser, o common sense where art thou!

This could be a genuine email, check your account. I've had verification SMS from EA (2 factor authentication) in Russian stopping them getting into my account. My friend didn't have this turned on, and they got his account, changed the details and purchased a game. I'm pretty sure that either EA have had accounts leaked, or there is a security issue even though I haven't seen any official announcements.

Log in directly from the EA site and not via the email to check things.
