hi i had a email arrive in my spam folder. it said they were from battle.net and it read that im trying to sell my diablo 3 account and if i didnt follow link and sign in they would close my account.

funny thing is i dont own daiblo 3 i havent brought that game i only own starcraft 2 so i know its a scam.

probably trying to get my details,

anybody else had this.

Funnily enough I got a scam email this morning saying I'd been given a key for the new D3 expansion, quick check of the email address confirmed it was a phishing scam where you go to the link they provide and log in, site looks exactly like the official site and they obviously then take your details and sell your account/items.

probably be easier to ask who hasn't :P pretty sure everyone I know gets these about their diablo and wow accounts.... some of the people don't even have accounts for either so good luck trying to sell an imaginary account :p

usually get a good few each week in my old emails junk folder. just mark as scam and carry on as normal. :p

they may look semi legit but just hovering over some of the links and there's some sketchy bits in the links :p just don't click on anything! haha xD

I get 50 billion emails from battle.net about guild wars 2, if you hover over the link, they didn't even try getting a domain close to battle.net.

Don't even have guild wars...

I used to get these all the time. I'd recommend always going through their site to resolve these problems (when they actually apply to an account you've created of course) as opposed to using the link in emails, even if they are legit.

hate scammers, thing is some people are going to think its real and login. i didnt open the link incase of instant virus or something. another thing is how the hell they get my email address i dont give it out anywhere.

I think you meant Arena Net. If battle.net were sending you them it might be a clue :p

But yes I get many related to my D3 account as well as my WoW and GW2 accounts (I own neither of the latter).

oh yeah.. the email i get them sent to is no longer associated with my battle.net account anyways xD so I know they are all bogus or they'd be sent to my newer and only tied email to the account ;)

I get about 30 per day, normally with horribly broken English.

Yeah, and from names such as Ranford Sommariva and Marullo Cammelli, being my 2 examples that arrived today. They bypassed my Gmail's spam box as well, straight to my inbox, the bloody twerps :p

Not played wow since 2005 and I still get these emails

Yeah this too, except I gave up WoW in 2009. Vanilla all the way for me :-)
