scam of the century or bargain of the century?

What's the significance of the item description saying (body) in it, is it literally the plastic shell they're selling?
 
I wouldn't say its a scam, it looks like a Hongkongese company selling kit. You'll need to pay VAT and shipping and possibly extra charges with customs so it'll still be bit cheaper than a UK retailer but it'll be a grey import and you get the warranty to match (ie none)

I wouldn't risk it personally.
 
^^ Yeah I've asked about that on these forums as well. I know DR are trusted but I still can't work out why the 5D3 is so much cheaper from them. It could be a lower asian price but then why is it so expensive in the UK. Not to mention that's a good few hundred pounds cheaper than the D800 from them which is several hundred pounds cheaper in the UK
 
Digitalrev are awesome. My girlfriend bought a nikon J1 from them (pink limited edition one!) for £269. They are £449 in the UK for the normal colours and the pink ones are on amazon for around £700! Turned up in 4 days since ordering as well with a free adapter for UK plugs for the charger also.
 
I also don't think its a scam, its just a Hong Kong based company which will sell you a grey import, thus cheaper, but you don't have the local warranty.

we are discussing DR here and have been for he past 5-6 posts. do keep up. i also staed DR does warranty and never said anything else so what is your point in repeating my commment?

Also, UK will repair your camera and bill you, You will send the bill to DR and they will refund the money back to you..

Uk canon cannot refuse to repair a camera body even if its a grey import or out of warranty. They infact would love for you to send your camera in for repair to them outside the normal warranty so they can charge you.

Us discussion DR is on topic as well because that deal from DR is also a fantastic bargain. £700 cheaper and all tax and delivery taken care of. Plus a warranty with DR too to boot as well.
