Hi all,

logged into Gmail this morning and in the Spam folder I've seen a message from "paypal"

which says

"Security Centre Advisory!

We recently noticed one or more attempts to log in to your PayPal account from a foreign IP address and we have reasons to believe that your account was hijacked by a third party without your authorization. If you recently accessed your account while travelling, the unusual log in attempts may have been initiated by you.

If you are the rightful holder of the account you must click the link below and then complete all steps from the following page as we try to verify your identity."

It's from [email protected]

Where it says

"Click here to verify your identity" the link is dead and cannot be clicked on.

Any advice greatly appreciated :)

Many Thanks

I'd be very cautious if i were you - best to forward the email to paypal customer service to ask them if it's legit or not.

if it doesn't address you by name its 100% scam. In fact what ever the email is, just delete it. Open up a new browser and login into Pay pal, it should tell you if there's any problems.

What is the link, it asks you to click? Copy and paste it here, and all should be revealed.

Log into your account and check for any funny messages! Don't ask us! We're not Paypal!

If it looks like a scam and sounds like a scam then it always, always is a scam :)
