I am selling some computer bits in the local paper and put my Email address, I got this Email and realise it is some sort of scam but how does it work?

Also, i need you to get back to me with your fullname on that will be cheque, contact address,home and mobile phone number inorder for me to know where to address the cheque to and also want you to know an agent will be incare of the shipment while i want you to know that the cheque in which you will be
receiving from me in some days time is of £1,900 while the rest of the fund on the cheque is meant for the pick up of this item while i will like to make this known to you that you are to cash the fund all before you release out the item to the shipping agent and others.
I wait to read from you later in the day today inorder for me to aknownledge the address and made it known to me if the address of the item location is different from which ever address you are sending

NB:Also i will want you to know that i will compensate you with £30 when the cheque is clear from your bank for you to remove your advert from the site and consider the item sold to me.
