Hello, Mr j****?

....... speaking?

Hello Mr J**** I am calling about your computer....

Wait.. how have you obtained my details, especially my number?

Yes Mr J***** we are ringing about your computer.... I rudely interupted, wait I just asked you how you obtained my number, what company did you say you were from?

I am calling about your computer, in a raised voice I said again, what is your company name?

He then said he was from pc support online.

I then swore a few times and told him to try and scam some other poor ***** as I wasn't falling for it and hung up.

He then rang two more times for which I didn't answer.

The number was unknown and he sounded Indian.

I am registered on the website that blocks sales calls, strangley enough my internet for the last hour has been running slow, like a dns issue.

No, that's why they call in the first place.

You don't knock at the door if you're already in the house :)

Been going on for over a year. My brother and his m8s try to keep them on the phone for as long as possible now. I think their record is 18 min :)

my mum had this twice last week. thank fully she politely told him to **** off and that here son would deal with her computer if there was a problem lol

Ask them for their number so you can call them back later on ;)

EDIT: My friend does this, they always hang up after this and never try again.

What website is it that you register your number to block those sales calls and what not? Someone told me it once but I can't remember. Get them on my mobile as well which is equally as annoying.

Here you go guys for those that don't know about it

Basicly they call and try and get u to install a bit of software so they can take control of your comp, infect it with loads of stuff, then try and get you to pay for software to remove it.

Easiest way is to just hang up on them, I like messing with them myself, like playing along, then at one point saying Microsoft windows, is that the same as Mint, soon as u say that, phone goes dead its hilarious lol.

And as Duke said TPS won't work for international companies, heck barely works in the UK lol.

If your phone has the hold feature i find this works wonders as they dont like being put on hold for more than 20 minutes :)
