scanning

hi guys i want to scan some certificates but when i use the inbuilt winxp scanning software it scans the "paper"...

if that makes sense? I just want the information on it, not the slight discolouration of the image too...

is there anyway to tweak this? (Change a setting)

Look into OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software.
