Scantronic Ion-16 or Pyronix Enforcer 32WE?

Anyone had experience with both or either of these?

I am getting a hybrid security system installed. I have wiring for the bell, the keypad near the front door and a control panel under the stairs but the sensors will be wireless.

I intend to have 4 sensors, all vibration/contact sensors, no movement sensors as I have large pets who would more than likely set them off.

So I have two installers
One recommends Scantronic Ion-16
The other recommends Pyronix Enforcer 32WE

The enforcer seems to come with the control panel and keypad built into one unit so will go under the stairs.

The Ion-16 separates the control panel and the keypad so they can be put into where I have existing wiring already.

Other than that, can't really find much research on either or opinions. I'm not looking at any other systems at this stage, I just need to narrow it down between these two specifically.

The scantronic will cost me £650
The pyronix will cost me £660

I've had no experience with either of those panels, however Scantronic & Pyronix have both been around for quite some time & are reliable.

One thing I would be questioning is whether or not the Pyronix is going to be using a wireless SAB or not, as the panel does have some wired outputs.
If it is, i'd be going for the Scantronic kit.

sorry I'm not clued up on this but from what has been explained to me:

The Enforcer will have a wired panel under the stairs with an attached keypad built in and will connect with the sensors wirelessly.

Alternatively I can separate the control panel and keypad (they keypad will be a euro 46S in that case) and the keypad will be communicating wirelessly with the control panel.

Both systems, as far as I know, will be wired to the Bell as there is cabling running from the bell to under the stairs where the control panels will be.

The scantronic will be both a wired panel and a wired keypad but wireless sensors. not sure if that answered it?

The SAB is the bell.

Personally i'd rather not have to go under the stairs to arm/disarm the system, yes you can get a wireless keypad for the pyronix kit, but the maintenance cost down the line for extra batteries would put me off.

So for me, it would be the Scantronic kit.

they both come with keyfobs so locking/unlocking shouldn't be an issue from a convenience perspective but you're right about the keypad being wireless on the enforcer if I choose to go with a separate keypad. Otherwise the integrated one under the stairs would be wired.

I suppose what I'm looking for is someone to point me towards one or the other by having experience with the quality of the contact sensors, the panel and in general the reliability of each system given its a household with pets.

I imagine once the keypad/control panel are installed I won't ever touch them again as I'll have the key fobs to get in and out with but on the off chance I do need to use the keypads, which one is a more user-friendly experience? etc

Am I the only one that clicked on the thread and expected this?
