Hi, so it's Halloween season, and I'm looking for paranormal or poltergeisty films.

Favourites that I like:
- Ringu (the Japanese i.e. original "Ring")
- Poltergeist
- The Shining
- The Thing
- Evil Dead
- Seeing Ghosts aka. The Eye
- The Conjuring
- Insidious & Paranormal Activity
- Blair Witch Project
- The Exorcist

Stuff like this would be greatly appreciated.
 
They are very obvious (good) recommendations but:

Hereditary
The Grudge

The Grudge has many similarities to Ringu. The American remake is the superior version, especially the Directors Cut version (which you can find on DVD etc.) which includes more footage that ties things together better.
 
I liked the creepy dread of Possum. Possibly Mathew Holnesses finest work, besides Garth Marenghi's Dark place.

Skinamarink also has maybe a supernatural creepy vibe.

The Japanese / Indonesian horror films Netflix have been releasing lately scratch that proper horror itch for me, no cheap jump scares.
