Scheduled disk Check

I set a scheduled disk check because i thought i had hdd issues but it turned out to be fine but now when i load windows its disk checking and wont let me cancel it any ideas ?

Nobody knows ? , im getting angry now says press any button within 10 seconds to stop but it doesnt even do anything.

Mine done this recently, stuck for over an hour (Have total of 1800Gb) So I force restarted, it wouldnt boot. I had to repair windows with my W7 USB (CD for others) that took 10mins. But it could have easily made me lose loads of data rather than corrupting windows.

Does the motherboard have any lights to show it is working in this time?

Mine did this earlier. I just let it run as luckily I don't have much on the HDD at the moment.

I rebooted my pc on. Syage 5/5 like a melon but its going stupidly slow , apparntly because i ticked scan sectors and fix or something.

Yep , its running etc there are lights + thestages are completing on the screen
