Scheduling Acronis True Image

Is there anyway you can schedule true image so it doesnt keep overwriting the same backup file??

Not that I could find when I was trying to do the same in enterprise, I've not looked to thoroughly for it mind.

Surely creating multiple backup schedules would be the best thing to do anyway? Set maybe a weekly, a monthly, and a yearly?

Cheat.
Schedule a batch file that renames the backup file, just before Acronis starts.

That gets too confusing cos Ive tried doing it that way.

How would you make a batch file, cos surly the batch file would just keep overwriting the file so you wouldnt be any better off. Unless you could tell it to have 02,03,04 ect at the end and never overwrite a file with the same name??

Use the date.

Can't you just create an image of the drive you want to backup then schedule Acronis to append changes incrementally? It'll keep your existing backup and create new smaller ones with any recent changes.

Ive changed it to ncrementally, and looked on the net for what the option does, and the only prob with this, you cant delete any files it makes or when you come to resore it will fail. I guess you cant have everything tho.
