The Military would probably run out of ammo before they could kill the entire population, so i guess you are correct.

They would hardly need to kill a fraction of the population before they backed down.

The notion of the American citizenry overthrowing the government is laughable. They’d have to turn off the tv first.

Has it been a thing since Dunblane? How widespread? I’ve never heard of it - we never did it at my schools, nor did my father’s when he was a headteacher.

I was at school in Scotland during the time of the Dunblane massacre, and the only thing that changed was teachers/staff being made to wear ID badges.

I was surprised that my kid's primary school do lockdown drills. It's a tiny school in a leafy village in Berkshire with about 200 pupils.

We're in the process of having a lockdown procedure. I think sometimes the Senior Team forget we're all adults with a knowledge of the world; we were told that the lockdown was in case "an animal ever came on site, a plane crash or bad weather". All reasonable reasons but we all know it's in case some nutter comes on site.

I have witnessed first hand the pointlessness of such a police operation. They stand at the front gate searching every single student wasting innocent people's learning time. But the people with the knifes simply go round the side to the fence and pass all their arsenal and drugs through the 2 miles of unmanned perimeter fence lmao (you could fit a mac10 through fences lmao).

Some random metal detectors here and there will absolutely NEVER stop a determined stabber.
