School shootings are incredibly rare events, it's not like they happen every other week.

I was surprised that my kid's primary school do lockdown drills. It's a tiny school in a leafy village in Berkshire with about 200 pupils.

We're in the process of having a lockdown procedure. I think sometimes the Senior Team forget we're all adults with a knowledge of the world; we were told that the lockdown was in case "an animal ever came on site
