My shiny now Corsair 800D arrived today, along with 5 Akasa Apaches and a HD5970 - I'm now in the process of transfering everything from my old case (an Antec 902) over to the Corsair - and I think I've already spotted a couple of mistakes I may have made.

First off, the fans, the plan was to replace the fans on my Noctua cooler with the Apache ones as they offer better airflow - however I notice that the connectors are 4 pin - and the pins on my motherboard are 3 pin - I take that this is going to be a problem?

Secondly, the other 3 fans which I was planning on using as intakes at the top of the case also have 4 pin connectors, and I forgot to buy a fan controller - yes, I'm a moron. I take it that there is no other way to get these working without one?

Other than that, it all seems to be going quite well, the Corsair is an absolute delight to work with as there is so much room to do everything.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers

4 pin fan connectors will work in a 3 pin connector. You will just lose the PWM function which on modern motherboards isn't really a problem as you can still control the speed.
