Scirocco R rotors and pads recommendation?

So my pads are 90% worn and despite a brake fluid change can feel the car is longer in stopping!

Looking to replace pads and discs.

VW quoted £419 for VW/OEM parts

Awesome GTI £283 Brembo high carbon discs and Brembo Road pads

VAG Technik (VW/Audi specialist) £240 using pagid (OEM) parts

Currently I'm booked in with Awesome to have the work carried out. Just wanted to garner opinion mainly about the Brembo gear as I know what I'm getting with Pagid/OEM as that's what I had before.

I need it sorting ASAP so even though Awesome are working out £43 dearer I'm inclined to keep my appointment. Just wondered any potential pitfalls etc with Brembo stuff, I told Awesome I do not want squealing brakes!

Do you drive it hard? By the sounds of 90% worn brakes still being on your performance car I expect not and you just get your monies worth, hence the question in hand.

Thus I would say go Pagid to save money for general road use with a bit of heavy braking when needed.
 
It's my daily but I take it out and thrash it in the countryside like you're meant to! So yeh can be hard on brakes.

Never really had issue with stock ones and faded them only once I think in an extreme situation!

I guess if the brembo pads are unbearable I can keep the brembo discs and change to pagid pads. Not ideal but there you go.
 
I went from Brembo discs and pads on my Cooper S to grooved BDA discs with Carbotech XP8 pads... The braking was phenomenal and I could get no fade, infact they just got better the hotter they got. But the squeal was too much, I have now swapped the XP8s out for OE spec Pagid pads and whilst the initial bite is nowhere near as aggressive the overall braking ability is certainly up there. They'll break traction with Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres in the dry with no hint of fade so I call that a success.
 
Thanks for replies, anyone run brembo pads before?

I know discs will have very little difference between makes.
 
Well my local VW dealer clearly smoking something as have had quote of 249 twice, 349 once and 419 once!
