So ... what does everyone think of the new scissor sisters album then??

I eagerly waited till my lunch hour yesterday and went out to get it, picked up the deluxe edition ... but shocked at the price (£19.99 from HMV) but was worth it :), every single track is fantastic, just like their first album the first 5 or 6 ... even 7 tracks could be (and probably will be) released as singles, and the last 5 are a bit more alternative, e.g more dance like.

I'd say I Don't Feel Like Dancin', Shes My Man and I Can't Decide are probably my favourite.

Haven't managed listening to the second disc yet though, will give that a go later on tonight sometime.

I've seen it on various Tinternet website (not aloud to mention them) for between £7.95 - £10.99... I think you were ripped off!...

I've not bought anything from HMV or Virgin (both as bad as each other for pricing) for about 3 years!...

I'm gonna wait till I'm paid then order Ta-Da and Evenescen's new one too!!!...

£20 for a album? And you paid for it? Muppet.
Would've gone straight home and ordered from a online store.

lol, there was the normal version (at around 9.99 i think) and the deluxe/collectors edition which basically has a second disc of b-sides, fancy packaging and a poster .... ok now that I think about it £19.99 was way to much to pay for it ;), still though, I'll enjoy the b-sides and i've been waiting for the album for months.

Listening to it now. I really like the opening track. It just sounds brilliant. The rest of the album sounds pretty good too.

My favourite tracks, so far are: I Don't Feel Like Dancing, Ooh and Paul McCartney.

Been waiting for some reviews on this before buying. They've definitely went into overdrive on the hype but it sounds as if it's worth it!

Yeah I'd recommend it. Ignore my favourite tracks list, have listened to it again and I pretty much like them all.

To be honest this is the first album in a while that I've been able to put on and listen to the whole way through. I don't think there's a bad song on there.

Fantastic album.

Edit: I haven't listened to the radio in months and don't read the music press, so the above post was hype-free :)

"She's My Man" is my favourite at the moment.

its good, but not a patch on the first album.

My pick is "Kiss you off"....so far. As with many albums it takes a few listens before it sinks in. The only album i found instant great songs from was the Feelings album, great!

It must have caught me right today. I played this directly after Black Label Society : Shot To Hell and enjoyed every track on it. I'm going to have to listen to their first album now.

 Did I beat dmpoole to discovering a new musical trend? :D YAY!!

Just joking dmpoole. ;) Glad to hear you've discovered Scissor Sisters. Their first album is quality. I have to admit, when I first saw their debut video on TV I didn't like the look. Everyone I knew was talking about the video and how weird it was. But then I saw the video from the beginning and loved the music. Got the album pretty soon after. One of my most popular, and their second is fast joining its predecessor on that list.

Wow they must be good then.... lol

Just better than the stuff you tried to compare them to and failed miserably.
They may not be as good as Slayer or The Haunted (IMHO) but they write some good pop tunes where the writers of Boyzone and Westlife write the pop tunes.
Personally if I wanted a gay frontman I'd have Rob Halford every time.

It's like karaoke Bee Gees tribute on cruise trip to Ibiza. Problem is - everyone mistakes this Old Brompton corner cabaret for a serious band and after 15 minutes the whole festivity gets really, really tiresome...

It's like that time when MTV through it was hilarious to power play Right Said Fred on all channels and do Kylie Weekends every month...

No, I didn't compare them to Boyzone and Westlife, I stated that admitting you like them is almost as bad as admitting to having a sizable Westlife collection.
