SCMG-5100 MUGEN 5 REV.B CPU COOLER - Push / Pull

Hello,

I have a
SCMG-5100 MUGEN 5 REV.B CPU COOLER

On my 3900x. I have the fan pulling air out, as it doesn't fit great pushing cos my RGB RAM.

But i would like to add an extra fan, could you recommend me a 120mm fan, and an adapter for both of them to plug into the header on the motherboard.

I wanna put them into a push pull setup.

I think it's a Scythe Kaze PWM 1200 rpm that comes with the cooler. They're pretty decent fans from what I've seen! I think they look cool too, remind me over the Noctua redux line.

Saying that you could get a Noctua redux which is fairly close to the Scythe Kaze.

Is the RGB RAM blocking the fan on the Mugen??

Yeah, most of it would be over the heatsink but i'd say maybe 2 cm would be above

Here's an image of the Mugen 5, as @freddie64 said might be the wrong way if your fan is blocking the RAM

I'm sure its the right way. The left of this pic is where my ram is, If i turn it around it won't sit properly at all.

I'll take some pics tomorrow. But if your looking into the case from the window, the cut out bit on the left of that picture is on the right above the ram. So the fan in the picture is on the left hand side when looking into the case pulling air through the heatsink and out towards the exhaust fan.

The case is a Kolink Observatory Case.

Maybe i put the back plate on the wrong way round then, and thats why it won’t sit properly

Well i am officially an idiot.

I had it on the wrong way round.

Turn it round and now the fan sits the same side as the ram and is pushing air through.

Might grab another fan tho pull if they are cheap. Not that the time are high, highest i seen so ar is 70c when playing pubg, but not tested since i turnt the heatsink around
