Luiz Felipe Scolari claims he has been keeping in contact with prospective West Ham United owner Kia Joorabchian.

Iranian businessmen Joorabchian is heading up a consortium aiming to take over the Premiership club.

Reports have suggested that, should the takeover be completed, Joorabchian would seek to install his own management team.

Seemingly top of that list is current Portugal national team coach Scolari, who turned down the chance to become England boss in the summer.

Scolari is close friends with Joorabchian and confirmed he has been talking to him regularly of late, although he did not comment on whether he could replace the under-fire Alan Pardew at Upton Park.

"Kia is my friend, we have been talking a lot recently, in fact almost every day," the Brazilian told the News of the World.

"He has already approached me to work for him before and every offer he makes is respectful and deserves my attention.

"Right now, I am still coaching Portugal, but nothing is impossible and certainly no door is closed.

"I often talk about jobs with Kia.

"If something was to happen in the future I am sure we would discuss it."
