My friend wrote off his Subaru Impreza WRX Type-R last year, and bought it back from the insurers.
He got paid out a silly ammount for it, and bought it back for silly low money.
He bought another Type-R shell for £1k, and the project began.
No photo's have been uploaded yet as they are still on my phone, but i will upload some in the next couple of days.
The old shell is now completely stripped, and the New shell has drivetrain, engine, all suspension, fuel tank and now brake lines in.
The engine bay has been painted, and now they are putting in all of the aircon, powersteering, abs etc in, so the engine bay will be ready. all that will be needed is the loom and it will be running before the weekned (they hope).
New parts include bonnett (not yet bought, has to be aluminium) passenger wing, door, front bumper, passenger headlight and 2 new wheels (Bk238 18" in gold).
Pictures will help tell the story more, but i thought it was an interesting project, seeing as its being done in evenings & on weekends
