I've succumbed to the fact that while in Thailand, as nuts as it is on the roads - I need a scooter to get around the further away areas.

Any riding tips? I've rode one before and it was easy enough, I'm not too worried about my confidence or spatial awareness while riding but would like to hear any advice.

Am I correct in thinking that breaking bias should be mostly towards the front except if slowing down on something like sand where the front end might dig in?

Cheers!

do a CBT, wouldn't be a waste of money if you learn something which might save your life.

Breaking on a scooter changes because the weight is over the rear wheel, however most breaking should always be done with the front wheel.

You can find lots of material on the web about this but it mainly comes down to you and the attention you pay when you are riding. Just don't do anything which you know isnt 100% safe to do.

Never been to Thailand but I know a lot of people do use 2 wheels there, so hopefully those on 4 wheels will be a lot more aware of you.
