Scotch Pie

Greggs sell bridies, which could be described as a pasty version of a scotch pie but could help your addiction until a dealer of pie is found. Though it's entirely possible that they may only sell them in Scotland.

Don't get the one from morrisons bakery... theyre rank :(

I wouldn't be suprised if they were since Oven Fresh make* them!

*For make read cook Bell's Scotch Pies in the oven until the timer beeps.

Also since it's clearly the best thing ever buy a scotch pie. Microwave for 1 - 2 mins depending on manliness. Oh noes! too hot to touch/eat?

Stick it in a roll. All sorts of win! :D

Don't get one all together. Its pubes, grizzle and nerve endings minced together with a pound of fat.

Get a steak pie.

What real men eat.

Killie Special Pie is superb.

I do love scotch pies as well though, especially Aberdeen Angus ones, they are amazing!

Where the heck does Farmfoods still exist? I haven't seen one down here in years!

[Edit] The nearest one to me is 40 miles away.. pie is good, but not that good!

Pretty sure theres one in soton (portswood). :p

Used to live there. Never once visited the farmfoods though. But walked past it regularly.

I remember they used to have a good deal on boxes of walkers crisps in the window, but I could never be bothered to go in and carry a whole box of them home.

I miss pies and bridies. And plain bread too - always stock up and fill the freezer when I'm back up North.

Was extremely disappointed at the quality of the Killie pies over the last few seasons, the special pie was about the best, but the killie pies were poor fare, no where near the best pie around the country any more.

My local butcher does scotch pies, white pudding and proper black pudding amongst other things.. maybe you have a similar shop near you?

For anyone who may be in the Reading area, I suggest you check out the village butcher in Tilehurst.

They deliver too!
